In deze politieke thriller richt Saleh zijn blik op de filmindustrie als één van de machtscentra van het hedendaagse Egypte, waarin propaganda en ijdelheid in elkaar overvloeien. De film werd geselecteerd voor de hoofdcompetitie van het Filmfestival van Cannes en was de Zweedse Oscarinzending. The film was selected for the main competition at the Cannes Film Festival and was Sweden's Oscar submission. In Saleh’s home country, the film won 6 Guldbagge Awards, the most important Swedish film awards, including those for Best Actor, Best Screenplay, and Best Film.
