Cedric escapes to the roof of the office building. Joan comes after him. Neither of them know Marietta is still hiding there. This is their big confrontation.

CEDRIC enters the roof by barging open the elevator door:

Hello!? Anyone there?

Marietta reacts, whilst hiding behind the elevator cabin –

How on earth did they find her?

[gulp]

JOAN

No one is here. It’s just us. There are no witnesses, so you can easily just surrender and I won’t tell a soul.

Joan points her gun at Cedric, who is unable to take cover.

  
    
      

CEDRIC

      

Ok.

    
    
      

JOAN

      

You gave it a good fight. Or a good run anyhow.

    
  

Cedric, takes a few steps back, still holding the suitcase.

JOAN

Don’t be weird. Please drop the suitcase.

Cedric still takes a few more steps back

and

Cedric jumps.

Marietta screams from behind the elevator shaft:

Nooooo!

JOAN

Oh well. Fuck me. I didn’t think he’d actually do it. Marietta, please come out. I can’t risk any more loose ends.
