Tormented by alcohol and regret and surrounded by the excitement and music of the evening, Hart has one last chance to revive his collaboration with Rodgers. Lorenz Hart was one of the most influential American songwriters of his time. Together with Richard Rodgers, he wrote 28 musicals (including A Connecticut Yankee and Babes in Arms) and more than 500 songs (such as Blue Moon and My Funny Valentine), which are imbued with timeless melodies and emotional depth. While Rodgers went on to form the most successful duo in American musical history with Hammerstein after Oklahoma!, Hart's life ended a few months later, at the age of 48. Blue Moon is directed by Oscar-nominated director Richard Linklater (Nouvelle Vague, Boyhood) and had its world premiere at the Berlin Film Festival.
