In Sister Brother ontdekken Skye (Indya Moore) en Billy (Luka Sabbat) in Parijs wie hun ouders werkelijk waren. Met Father Mother Sister Brother wilde Jim Jarmusch laten zien hoe familie tegelijk het meest vertrouwde én het meest mysterieuze deel van ons leven kan zijn. Een indrukwekkende sterrencast brengt de drie komische, hartverwarmende en schrijnende verhalen samen, waarbij de eigenzinnige personages en de melancholieke humor typerend zijn voor het werk van Jarmusch. With Father Mother Sister Brother, Jim Jarmusch sought to show how family can be both the most familiar and the most mysterious part of our lives. An impressive star-studded cast brings together the three comic, heart-warming and poignant stories, in which the idiosyncratic characters and melancholic humour are characteristic of Jarmusch’s work. The film was awarded the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival.
